Nearest Airport to HK International Airport

The nearest airport to HKG is the Macau International Airport (MFM). MFM is located on the island of Taipa, about 40 kilometers southwest of Hong Kong. Hong Kong Airport international terminal (HKG) has two main passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 1

  • Public Bus – There are several public bus routes that operate between the airport and different parts of Hong Kong. You can find bus stops at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Bus fares are generally cheaper than the Airport Express train, but the journey time may be longer depending on traffic conditions. 
  • Taxis – Taxis are available at the taxi stands outside Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. You can choose between urban taxis (red) or New Territories taxis (green).
