Comayagua International Airport, officially known as Palmerola International Airport, is an international airport located 6 km (4 mi) south of the center of Comayagua, Honduras. It was inaugurated on October 15, 2021, as the country’s new international airport for civil and commercial use.
The airport is designed to accommodate up to 20 aircraft and has a runway that is 3,045 meters (10,023 feet) long and 45 meters (148 feet) wide. The terminal has a capacity of 2.5 million passengers per year. Comayagua International Airport is expected to become the main airport for Honduras, replacing Toncontin International Airport in Tegucigalpa.
